I came across this famous 1st century painting while doing some online research. It's a depiction of the Greek hero Jayseus Ramaramus and his wildcat Saganomecus doing battle with the Gorgon beasts Memnon and Snarlpus in the Garden of Hera outside the city of Argos. Here-to, we see the depiction of the goddess Kendromeda and her mythical crested sugar-snout Heidee' on the steps of the Temple Artemus. It's such a treat to serendipitously discover great historical works in the vast archives of the internets isn't it?
Oh, and happy Friday...
